Dear secondary students and families:
Secondary classrooms are fully active now, so students should be checking each school day for learning activities and opportunities to meet with their teachers and classmates. We so miss the hum of daily activity in the halls and classrooms, but we are also seeing God’s grace and work in new ways. As we all learn together, please reach out with any questions or concerns by contacting me.
Secondary staff gathered virtually Wednesday morning to share their gratitude and love for Tracey Deringer, as she leaves to begin new work with the Ministry of Education next week. Tracey accepted the position in early March and we anticipated announcements and goodbye gatherings after spring break – but not in the electronic-only form! Over 16 years at PCS, Tracey has been a much-loved teacher and an inspiring and encouraging colleague. She has modelled a life of faith, commitment to growth, and the importance of laughter. Tracey leaves a legacy in the many areas her work included over the years. We will miss her dearly, but know that she will continue to make positive impacts in education in her new role. May God bless and keep you, Tracey!
As we say at the end of our chapels: May God bless you and keep you …

Lockers
A number of students still have materials in lockers. Students who have not picked up materials should contact Mr. Kremler to make arrangements to do so. Thank you!
Important Graduation Information
While we are currently unable to gather as a school community, we don’t know if or when this might change. With that in mind, we are continuing to plan for our commencement ceremony on June 24th with the understanding that this PCS community event may not be possible.
For our Commencement Ceremony, grade 12 students dress in traditional academic regalia (black gown and cap) and we need each grade 12 to let Mr. Tuffin know their height.
To do this, students can join the Graduation and You classroom and complete the assignment ‘How Tall Are You’?
Without this information, students may not have a gown that fits them properly for our ceremony.

Grade 8 and 9 Clubs
One of the things our teachers have been working on is a Clubs option for students in grades 8 and 9.
Clubs are offered to give students a chance to explore some of the areas we usually offer as our electives and a few others too.
Film Studies, Photography, Foods, Design, and Chess Club are just a few of the offerings. For a full list of offerings, check out the Gr 8 and 9 courses on mypcs.ca
Students can copy the access code for any clubs listed and can use this code to join the club. There is no limit to the number of clubs they can join and this is offered as something students are free to participate in or not. Welcome to the Club.
