Monday Morning Minute – Sept 21

There are weeks when it certainly takes a community to make things come together.  The past few weeks have seen the PCS community rally around back-to-school and collectively enable a wonderful start to the year.  Yes, there have been many changes due to Covid-19, and some due to smoke, but, in spite of the obstacles, I am confident that we are indeed experiencing Educational Excellence to the Glory of God once again at PCS.

Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who have been faithfully praying for safety and wisdom as the students returned to class.  Thank you to the many students who have also been praying and stepping up to the occasion as they reconnect with old friends and beginning many new relationships at the same time.  Thank you to the staff team that has gone above-and-beyond to welcome your children and ensure a smooth transition into the 2020/21 school year.

This September will be a memorable one.  We are grateful that we serve a God who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and who faithfully walks with us.  May we all be reminded of this throughout this school year.

Today marks the start of the third week of school and the sense of a bit of routine.  I hope this new normal may be one that sees us all grow individually and collectively.  My routine of a Monday Morning Minute will be on pause for a little while, but I am still committed to communicating school plans with you.  Watch for future Lewis’ Lens updates and other brief notices in Thumbnail as we go.

My prayers are for shalom for you and your family.  On a personal note, thank you for your prayers for my family as we mourn the recent passing of my mother.  Thank you for the living community that PCS is and how it has the ability to represent the hands and feet of Christ.

Sincerely,

Darren.
