Dear PCS Elementary Parents:
On Monday March 29th, your child will bring home a book called, “The Wild Robot.” This is a gift to you from PCS and anonymous donors.

It is our hope that you will take time to read this book as a family over the next 5 weeks. We feel that sharing the story will help promote a love of reading and provide rich discussions as a family.
There are some wonderful themes in the book such as: belonging, purpose and love. It is very interesting that as the robot (Roz) learns how to become an animal, she teaches us what it means to be human.
It is our hope that authentic discussions around the story will happen at home, school and with friends. The children will also delve deeper into the story during Library times.
Thanks for supporting literacy at PCS. Below is a suggested reading timeline.
